Thunder Action Sports is set to take over Coleraine town centre on Saturday 1 August, promising an adrenaline-fuelled day of spectacular BMX and scooter stunt displays that are guaranteed to thrill audiences of all ages.
Brought to the town by Coleraine Connect, the free event will transform the Event Space at Coleraine Town Hall into a live action arena, with four exhilarating half-pipe shows taking place throughout the afternoon at 12.40pm, 1.40pm, 2.40pm and 3.40pm.
Featuring a team of talented local and international riders, Thunder Action Sports will showcase gravity-defying flips, incredible aerial tricks and breathtaking stunts, all accompanied by a live MC and pumping music to create an electric atmosphere in the heart of the town.
Matt Gillespie from Thunder Action Sports said: “The Thunder Team are amped up and ready to unleash a daredevil display of stunts and bravery for the very first time in Coleraine.
“Expect flips, whips from our local and international team riders, along with pumping tunes to get the town going! Come and see the show for an unforgettable day of action sports, right in the heart of Coleraine.”
Coleraine Connect says the event is another example of its commitment to bringing exciting, high-quality attractions to the town centre that encourage people to visit, spend time in Coleraine and support local businesses.
A spokesperson for Coleraine Connect said: “We’re delighted to be bringing Thunder Action Sports to Coleraine for the very first time. It’s something completely different for the town, and we know families and action sports fans are going to love it.
“The performances are absolutely incredible and, because there are four shows throughout the afternoon, visitors will have plenty of opportunity to enjoy everything else Coleraine has to offer too, whether that’s shopping, enjoying lunch in one of our fantastic cafés or simply spending the day in the town centre.”
Admission to Thunder Action Sports is completely FREE, making it an affordable day out for families during the summer holidays.
Visitors are encouraged to arrive early to secure a good viewing spot and experience one of the most exciting live action sports shows to visit Northern Ireland this summer.
