Causeway Coast Dog Rescue is delighted to announce the return of its Annual Animal Welfare Conference, scheduled to take place this October at Queen’s University Belfast.

Continuing with the theme of “Reform,” the 2025 conference aims to unite legal experts, veterinarians, charity leaders, and policymakers from across the UK and Ireland to tackle pressing issues in animal welfare. Key topics of discussion will include the implementation of Lucy’s Law in Northern Ireland, a review of dog breeding practices, strengthening animal welfare enforcement and services, and providing legal insights on companion animal welfare and protections against domestic abuse.

As Northern Ireland’s only dedicated animal welfare conference, the event is poised to foster impactful dialogue, collaboration, and evidence-based action. Details regarding the speakers will be released in the coming weeks.

Those involved in animal welfare charities or the broader animal welfare sector who wish to learn more or register for the conference are encouraged to contact: info@causewaycoastdogrescue.org.
