Crown Court Appearance for Bushmills man on Multiple Charges Following Road Traffic Accident

Gary McKendry, aged 31, from Heronshaw, Bushmills, appeared in Antrim Crown Court today for arraignment on multiple charges related to a road traffic accident that occurred on December 29, 2024.

The proceedings were presided over by His Honour Judge Philip Gilpin.

The charges against McKendry include cruelty to children, dangerous driving, common assault (indictable), failing to remain at the scene of an accident, failing to stop at the scene of an accident, and failing to report an accident.

During the hearing, each charge was read aloud to the court. McKendry, represented by defence barrister Mr. Law, confirmed his identity and entered a plea of not guilty to all charges.

Judge Gilpin has scheduled the trial to commence on October 20, 2025, with an review set for October 1, 2025.
