Road users are advised to anticipate significant traffic disruption in Portrush this Saturday evening, 18th July, due to a planned annual parade in the area.
Over 70 bands will take part with a high volume of participants and spectators expected to attend.
The parade will begin at approximately 8.15pm at Fire Station Carpark, before moving onto Sandhill Drive – Eglinton Street – Kerr Street – Upper Main Street – Lower Main Street – Causeway Street – Victoria Street – Dunluce Avenue – Sandhill Drive and returning to Fire Station Car Park.
Access to the town by vehicle will be restricted from 8pm, with no access to leave some parts of the town between 8pm and 11pm.
Parking at both East Strand and West Strand car parks will remain accessible throughout.
Officers will be on the ground during the parades, ensuring public safety and to assist with traffic diversions. Any diversions will be made where necessary for vehicular movement, and local businesses will remain open and accessible as usual.
