In a vibrant collaboration with Causeway Coast and Glens Council, students from several Ballymoney schools have contributed to the town’s floral displays, now brightening the town centre.
This initiative, launched by the council in the spring, saw pupils teaming up with council workers to plant hanging baskets. These baskets were nurtured in the council’s poly tunnels until they were ready for their recent debut in the town centre.
Local DUP Councillor Darryl Wilson praised the efforts on social media, stating, “Don’t these look fantastic! A few of our local schools/pre-schools have been assisting Council Staff with a display of flowers in our Town Centre, thanks to Ballymoney Nursery School, St Bridgets, the Leaney and Stepping Stones pupils for their wonderful work. These hanging baskets have added to an already amazing display of flowers in the town thanks to our Council team.”
