Ballycastle Man Facing 11 Alleged Historical Sex Offences

A Ballycastle man is facing having his case sent to the Crown Court following a number of alleged historical sex offences.

The 42-year-old man is facing 11 charges; seven of indecent assault and a further four of gross indecency with or towards a child. The dates listed on the charge sheet range from May 1995 to October 1999.

The case was listed on Friday (23 October) for a preliminary enquiry (PE) at Coleraine Magistrates’ Court. However, the defendant was excused after his Barrister, Jonathan Browne, requested more time to consider the papers.

District Judge Peter King adjourned the case until 6 November for the PE.
