Iain and Cameron McAfee recently completed an inspiring trek across the historic Somme battlefields, raising funds for Blesma, The Limbless Veterans.
The duo walked nearly 19 miles in 8.5 hours, traversing significant sites that commemorate the sacrifices made by soldiers during World War One.
The charity, established to support veterans returning with devastating injuries, continues its vital work today. The McAfees’ journey not only honored the memories of those who fought but also aimed to raise awareness and funds for veterans and their families.
The fundraiser has garnered considerable support, with donations still being accepted until closing. The McAfees expressed gratitude to all who contributed, emphasising the importance of continuing to advocate for veterans.
