The recent Bushmills Through The Wars exhibition held at the Dunluce Parish Centre showcased not just history, but also the unwavering support of the local community.
Following the event’s success, a special presentation ceremony took place, highlighting the collective efforts in supporting various charitable organisations.
Neil Salisbury, Chairman of Bushmills Through The Wars, led the presentation of cheques to several deserving recipients. Among them were Pat Crossley from the MS Society, who received funds to further their mission in supporting those affected by multiple sclerosis. Helen Heaney and Jim Fairbairn from the Bushmills Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal, receiving a contribution to aid in their ongoing work to support veterans and their families.
Additionally, Rev Brian Harper represented the Bishops Appeal, while David Campbell from the Royal Naval Association. Their efforts, alongside the contributions from the exhibition, reiterate the importance of community involvement in charitable causes.
In a gesture of appreciation, gifts were presented to Fiona Kee and Christopher McMullan, acknowledging their contributions throughout the week.
