Just over 80 miles to go! Marcus Christie, Portrush man and devoted supporter of Air Ambulance Northern Ireland, is nearing the final stretch of his incredible 400-mile “Cork 2 Port” challenge and he’s already raised an amazing £17,000 of his £20,000 goal to help save lives.
Marcus has taken on roughly a marathon a day for 15 days straight from Cork to Portrush. He is now making his way through Northern Ireland, so if you see him out on the road, give him a wave, a cheer, or a friendly honk of the horn!
Kerry Anderson, Head of Fundraising, says:
“Marcus is an inspiration. He’s pushing through blisters, aches, wrong turns and even falling into nettles, all to help fund lifesaving missions. Please support him as he reaches the finish line by donating what you can https://justgiving.com/page/cork-2-port.”
This emotional journey is dedicated to the memory of Marcus’s late mother, Joan Christie and every step he takes helps support the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service that aims to saves lives across the region.
Follow Marcus on Instagram mchristie84 and donate now via: https://justgiving.com/page/cork-2-port. Every pound brings him closer to the finish and helps the Air Ambulance be there for someone’s worst day; the charity needs to raise £3m each year. Find out more atwww.airambulanceni.org
