At Coleraine Magastrates’ Court held on September 19, the court heard the case of Curtis Guy.

Guy, (36) resident of Kylemore Road, Coleraine, who faces several serious charges stemming from an incident on September 8, 2023.

The defendant, is accused of engaging in criminal damage, making threats to damage property, and common assault. The prosecution alleges that Guy intentionally damaged a poker machine and a wall belonging to William Elliot at his Ballymoney bar, an act deemed unlawful under Article 3(1) of the Criminal Damage (Northern Ireland) Order 1977.

Furthermore, it is alleged that Guy on the same date made threats towards Mandy Graham, indicating his intention to destroy her property, specifically her house, thereby instilling fear that such actions would be carried out.

In addition to the property-related charges, Guy is accused of unlawfully assaulting Ms Graham. He is also charged with making similar threats towards Mr. Elliott regarding his house and bar.

Guy has pleaded not guilty to all counts. District Judge King has scheduled a further hearing to fix a date for the contest on October 3.

The defendant is required to appear at the next court date.
